Think of the last time you took a vacation.
Maybe you drove to the beach or the mountains. You had a great time.
Now think about the end of that trip. You arrive home and park in your driveway.
If you’re like me, the last thing you feel like doing is unpacking the car.
But do you know what makes me feel even worse?
Driving around in a half-unpacked car a couple of days later.
A reminder of something I should have done but didn’t.
Over the last decade, I’ve developed a habit that I love.
When I turn off the car in the driveway – before doing anything else – I unpack the car completely.
Everything in its place, dirty laundry in the washer, chargers in their original location, etc. – no exceptions.
A total reset and it feels great – no baggage left to unpack (literally).
Your trading is the same way.
You may have had a great trading day or your worst day in months.
Either way, the last thing you’re going to feel like doing is a daily review.
But daily reviews are what turn ok traders… into truly great traders.
