The best strategy ideas I have ever had came from looking at what the market actually did today. Not from a book, not from a forum, and not from a black box someone was selling.
Every day after the close, I run through the same set of Trade-Ideas windows to review what moved, why it moved, and whether there is a repeatable pattern worth backtesting. This is that exact layout, ready to load into your own copy of Trade-Ideas in a couple of minutes.

What's Included
You get seven Trade-Ideas windows, each delivered as a cloud link you can load directly into Trade-Ideas:
Biggest Range - stocks with the biggest range on the day, sorted in descending order.
Gapping Stocks - my bread-and-butter top list showing stocks gapping up and down in the same window, with a Gap% filter that removes the noise between -4% and 4%.
Biggest Gainers - the biggest winners on the day.
Biggest Losers - the biggest losers on the day.
Earnings Plays Today - stocks reporting earnings for today's session.
Earnings Plays Tomorrow - stocks reporting earnings for the next session, so you can see them coming.
Halt/Resume - an alert window showing every trading halt and resume.

How I Use It
I scroll through each window and pull up charts on the names that catch my eye. The questions I ask are simple: What did this stock do today? Have I seen this behavior before? Is there something here I could define precisely enough to backtest?
Most days, nothing. But do this consistently and you'll start noticing patterns that show up over and over again. Those patterns become hypotheses, and hypotheses become strategies you can test.
How to Load the Windows
Each window comes with a Trade-Ideas cloud link. Copy the link, then in your main Trade-Ideas window go to File -> Load from Cloud and click Load. The window opens with all of my settings, columns, and filters intact.
Requirements
An active Trade-Ideas subscription. These are Trade-Ideas windows and layouts, so they will not work without one.
